Service Booking Terms
Thank you for choosing Petopia for your pet grooming experience. Please note, dogs are only accepted for grooming at Petopia under the following circumstances....
- The owner should grant permission for matted hair to be shaved off to prevent pain( extra charges for de-matting apply)
- The owner should acknowledge that the pet is fit and healthy. (Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable.)
- The pets are vaccinated and up to date. An unvaccinated pet puts itself and others at risk.
- The owner should agree that the groomer will not be held liable or responsible for any mishap caused by a non-disclosure of my pets medical condition or behavior.
It must be clearly understood and agreed that whilst every attention is given to your pet(s) they are accepted at the owner’s risk. Our first concern if for the welfare of your pet so in the event of injury or illness a vet may be called in and unless it can clearly be shown that we are liable, all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owner’s expense.
Booking Cancellation and Refund
Petopia is committed to providing all of our clients with exceptional care. When a client cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another client from being seen. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a Cancellation fee will apply.
Cancellation of scheduled appointment at least 48 hrs. prior to appointment time: NO CHARGE
Cancellation of scheduled appointment within 24 hrs. of appointment time: 50%CHARGE
No Show – No Phone Call to cancel appointment: FULL CHARGE
Unavoidable circumstances may warrant special consideration, but please note that the above charges will apply to most cancellations. It is your responsibility to know when your appointment is scheduled. Less than 48 hours notice doesn’t allow Petopia sufficient time to offer that session or perspective client’s adequate time to prepare for their session. Thank you for understanding the importance of keeping your appointment.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment if the groomer suffers illness/injury or a personal emergency. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.

We may take a photo of your pet during their grooming session which may be used for promotional or publicity purposes. Please let us know if you do not wish this to happen.
